Barn Buddy Program
The Humane Society of East West Veterinary Outreach’s Barn Buddy Program is designed to match cat lovers who own heated structures, such as a barn or workshop, with a cat that prefers to live in an indoor/outdoor setting. Adopters are still deemed to be their owner and are responsible for food, water, shelter and ensuring they have access to regular medical care.
A Barn Buddy is a feline companion that ranges in temperament from semi-social to very friendly. They may prefer to share your living arrangements from a distance, need a little time to warm up to you (treats work well) or harass you for love every day!
No matter their disposition, by adopting a Barn Buddy, you give a cat a second chance at life in a loving forever home.
A Barn Buddy has an adoption fee of $25 which includes their spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, tattoo and ear tip.
If you’re interested in adopting a Barn Buddy, please fill out our Barn Buddy application.
If we don’t have a Barn Buddy available when you inquire, we do hold a waiting list. As soon as we have a suitable candidate, we will notify those waiting for their very own mouser!*
